MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova will establish a joint bottling venture for Moldovan wine and cognac in Minsk in 2018, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy noted at the Belarusian-Moldovan business forum on 11 December, BelTA has learned.
“We regard Moldova as a reliable partner. Belarus and Moldova have overcome the decline in trade and economic relations. The bilateral trade has been growing year by year. We think that $200 million in trade in 2017 is a sure thing and we see pretty good prospects in every area of cooperation,” Mikhail Rusy underlined.
This applies to setting up joint assembly plants, founding new mechanical engineering companies, cooperation in road construction, tractor manufacturing, agriculture, and winemaking. “I suppose that we will taste Moldovan cognac bottled in Belarus by the 2018 year-end,” Mikhail Rusy said.
