Belarus, Moldova sign memorandum of cooperation in medicineCHISINAU, 14 October (BelTA) – The Expert Evaluation and Examination Center at the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry and the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova have signed a memorandum of cooperation in medicine, BelTA learned from the Moldovan agency.

The document was signed by Deputy Director of the Expert Evaluation and Examination Center Sergei Marchenko and Director General of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova Vladislav Zara.

Sergei Marchenko remarked that this memorandum is not only a framework agreement. It also enables high-level cooperation for the resolution of possible problems in everyday work.

“Thanks to this document, we are able to develop relations between our institutions, between the healthcare ministries, between the governments of our countries. We will also deepen trade relations between Belarusian and Moldovan manufacturers,” Sergei Marchenko said.

Belarus, Moldova sign memorandum of cooperation in medicineVladislav Zara, in turn, remarked that the document will help enhance bilateral relations between regulatory bodies in the healthcare industry.

“This document is a milestone in the dialogue of our countries as far as the quality of medicines is concerned. We will be able to raise the productivity of cooperation to harmonize approaches to pharmaceutical producers by supporting them in the procedure of authorizing medicinal products,” the director general of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova stressed.

The memorandum of cooperation in medicine which was signed by Belarus and Moldova will ensure the quality of medicines, guarantee the provision of support to manufacturers in the process of authorizing medicinal products, recognize preclinical and clinical research, including in bioequivalence.
