MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus exported $4.1 billion worth of products in January-August 2021, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Krupko told the media after the meeting with the head of state to discuss the country’s agricultural performance, BelTA has learned.
“In January-August 2021 the export of Belarusian products totaled $4.1 billion, up $400 million, or 10.8% over the same period last year,” the minister said.
According to Ivan Krupko, potatoes and vegetables harvesting in the country is still in progress. Belarus exported 650,000 tonnes of these products last year. Supplies remain at the same level this year as well.
According to the minister, food supplies to Ukraine have soared 40%. Belarus’ exports to the market of the European market have also increased by 40%. Supplies to China have gone up 50%.
