MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) - Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) is interested in developing cooperation with the enterprises of Bashkortostan, Russia, BelTA learned from MAZ.
The development of cooperation with the Republic of Bashkortostan was discussed at Minsk Automobile Plant first with business representatives, and then with a delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov, and also with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev.
MAZ Director General Valery Ivankovich noted during the negotiations that an important indicator of the work with the region over the past year was the increase in trade and the expansion of partnerships with local enterprises. One of the examples of successful cooperation is interaction with Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant. MAZ is always ready to look for new areas of cooperation development in what concerns cargo and passenger vehicles to create exclusive import-substituting products.
According to Rustam Muratov, the government of Bashkortostan is interested in the implementation of large joint projects, which will be able to meet the needs of the region in various types of equipment.
Minsk Automobile Plant is one of Belarus' largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-3, 4, 5, and 6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and 3,000 modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
