MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarusian companies may take part in energy infrastructure upgrading projects in Romania. The matter has been discussed at the meeting between Belarus’ Ambassador to Romania Andrei Grinkevich and Romania’s Energy Minister Anton Anton, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting Andrei Grinkevich talked about the capacities of Belarusian companies in the export of energy equipment and materials, services in designing and operating power facilities.
“The parties discussed joint steps to expand bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including interaction on hydrocarbon and renewable energy sources and also the implementation of energy infrastructure upgrading projects in Romania and third countries with the participation of Belarusian and Romanian companies,” the ministry said.
The sides took note of mutual opportunities for sharing experience in nuclear energy.
