MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus has debuted at Expo Fine Food 2017, the international expo of high-quality food and drinks that is running in Shanghai from 28 to 31 March, BelTA learned from the exhibition company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry that arranged the Belarusian exhibition stand.
Products of the leading Belarusian enterprises are featured at the Made in Belarus stand. The stand displays goods by eight companies of Belgospishcheprom Concern: Kommunarka (chocolate and sweets), Krasny Pischevik (sweets, zefir, gum candies), Spartak (chocolate, sweets, biscuits), Slodych (biscuits), Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant (P and T-type rapeseed oil for different uses), Minsk Kristall and Vitebsk-based distillery Pridvinye (strong drinks), and Krinitsa (beer and kvass). Visitors to the expo are invited to taste the products.
“Several companies have shown interest in cooperation with Belarusian brands, the company Jingshengkai among them,” Belinterexpo representatives said.
Attending the expo is an official delegation of Belgospishcheprom Concern headed by its chairman Alexander Zabello. The Belarusian delegation is scheduled to have business meetings with representatives of Chinese companies.
Expo Fine Food is one of the largest food expos in China. It covers food and beverage, ingredients, coffee and tea, bakery and ice cream, high-end water, wine and spirits and more. In 2016 the expo drew more than 2,000 exhibitors from 116 countries and had more than 115,000 visitors (importers, representatives of retailers, wholesalers, hotel and restaurant business).
