MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – The Bobruisk-based confectionery Krasny Pishchevik is exploring the possibility of exporting sweet goods to Israel, BelTA learned from the exhibition company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Products of Krasny Pishchevik make part of the Made in Belarus exhibition at the food products and beverages expo Israfood running in Tel Aviv, Israel from 28 to 30 November.

“This is the first time Belarus is taking part in the expo. Krasny Pishchevik has already sealed a deal with Israel’s Alfa Mega Food Ltd to deliver a pilot batch of Bobruisk-made kosher certified confectionery. The Made in Belarus exhibition displays the company’s marmalade, candy dots, toffee, halva, candies, and marshmallows,” Belinterexpo said.

Israfood is Israel’s largest food expo which exhibits different kinds of food: dairy products, meat and poultry, confectionery, beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks. The event has brought together over 15,000 representatives of the catering industry. The Belarusian exhibition was attended by Belarusian Ambassador to Israel Vladimir Skvortsov.

Made in Belarus, the exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers, is organized by the exhibition company Belinterexpo.

Krasny Pishchevik mainly produces marshmallow, marmalade, halva, toffee, and candies (a total of over 140 items). The company’s capacities are estimated at 20,000 sweet goods a year.
