MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Kazakhstan will intensify their sectoral contacts. The relevant agreements were reached in the meeting between Ambassador Extraoridnary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Anatoly Nichkasov and First Vice Premier of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sector, considered industrial, sci-tech and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was focused on the cooperation agenda in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The parties agreed on the need to develop a set of measures for stimulating the growth of mutual trade between the EEU member states, updating the list of existing barriers in mutual trade, improving the activity of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The meeting also considered the implementation of the roadmap of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation for 2014-2016. The parties confirmed their interest in the participation of Belarusian project and construction organizations in the implementation of Kazakhstan’s infrastructure projects. The parties also agreed to intensify sectoral contacts and develop bilateral cooperation.
Apart from that, the parties discussed cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and expressed interest in the supplies of equipment and machinery for the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan.
