MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Kazakhstan exchanged experience in the modernization of food industry enterprises, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom.
Chairman of Belgospishcheprom Oleg Zhidkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Askar Beisenbayev. “The parties discussed further cooperation, ways of increasing the volume of supplies to the Kazakhstan market and expanding the range of exports. In addition, the participants of the meeting exchanged experience in the modernization of food industry enterprises. Representatives of the Kazakhstan delegation also expressed an interest in visiting enterprises of the sugar and canning industries," Belgospishcheprom’s press service said.
Kazakhstan is Belgospishcheprom’s fourth largest trading partner. In 2021, exports to that country exceeded $26 million. Major export items were sugar, malt, alcohol and fruit and vegetable products, and also confectionery.
