MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) — An agreement to found the EAEU consortium of digital transport corridors was signed at the Transport Week 2020 in Moscow, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Communication and Informatization.
Organizations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states are joining the agreement. On Belarus’ behalf it is the Institute of Application Software Systems. The agreement was signed by director of the institute Igor Mikhailovsky.
The consortium has been established to coordinate innovation activities in the development of transport and logistics services, as well as infrastructure of digital transport corridors within the EAEU member states.
The main objectives of the new consortium include the development of international transport corridors; the organization of information interaction with the world digital ecosystems in transport and logistics; the development and implementation of the most effective ways to address pressing problems in the industry; the implementation of a set of measures to ensure the functioning of digital infrastructure and the development of services of the EAEU ecosystem of digital transport corridors.
Gegham Vardanyan, member of the Board (Minister) for Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission, said at the plenary discussion of the 14th international forum held as part of the Transport Week 2020 that the list of priority services for the EAEU ecosystem of digital transport corridors had been almost approved.
