MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - Trade between Belarus and Italy in fashion products and accessories rose by 44% in the first half of the year, Counselor for Commercial Affairs, deputy head of the diplomatic mission of Italy to Belarus Paolo Tonini told a press conference, BelTA has learned.
“Italy closely follows the development of Belarusian fashion. Suffice it to recall the agreement between the Belarusian and Italian fashion chambers which is yielding positive results. Over the past five years, many of our designers have taken part in Belarus Fashion Week. There has been a significant increase in trade between our countries in fashion products and accessories - approximately 44% in H1 of the current year,” Paolo Tonini said.
Cooperation between Belarus and Italy has been actively growing in the industrial sphere, particularly in the area of supply of textile machinery. “Direct cooperation in the field of design has been vibrant as well. Therefore we try to foster an exchange of experiences between representatives of our countries who work in this field,” he said.
