MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Israel intend to expand financial and investment cooperation, including in the field of ICT and high technology. Such an agreement was reached during the talks which took place during the working visit of Aide to the President of the Republic of Belarus Vsevolod Yanchevsky to the State of Israel on 2-3 March, BelTA has learned.
During the visit, Vsevolod Yanchevsky met with senior executives of a number of reputable Israeli businesses, leading companies in the sphere of high technologies and ICT that are world leaders in these areas. During the talks, concrete agreements were reached to expand financial and investment cooperation between Belarus and Israel. The parties identified promising joint projects to be implemented in Belarus with the assistance of the Israeli capital, including in the field of information and communication technologies, energy and environment.
Vsevolod Yanchevsky also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Avigdor Lieberman. The parties discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and the ways of strengthening trade and economic, financial and investment ties and the cooperation in science and technology.
