Belarus, Iraq gearing up for session of economic cooperation commission

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikalai Barysevich has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation in the Republic of Belarus Abdulrahman Hamid Mohammed Al-Hussaini, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The diplomats took stock of the progress to implement the agreements reached during the Belarus-Iraq ministerial consultations that took place in Baghdad in June 2021.

They also discussed in detail preparations for the next session of the Belarus-Iraq Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as visits of Iraqi officials to Belarus to elaborate joint projects.

The diplomats discussed bilateral cooperation in education and humanitarian sphere.
