TEHRAN, 24 January (BelTA – IRNA) - Belarus and Iran signed eight cooperation agreements during the 14th session of the mixed Belarusian-Iranian commission for economic cooperation, Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari said when speaking at the closing ceremony of the event.
“In the course of the session we signed the agreements in such areas as the production of cars, farming and mining machinery, electric buses and project financing,” he said.
Mohammad Shariatmadari also noted the need to develop a roadmap for bilateral cooperation in the banking sector.
Belarus’ Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk, who led the Belarusian delegation, expressed the hope that the agreements will facilitate the interaction between the two countries. He invited the Iranian minister to visit Belarus.
The 14th meeting of the mixed Belarusian-Iranian commission for economic cooperation was held in Tehran on 22-23 January. Belarus and Iran also signed a roadmap for bilateral cooperation for 2018-2020.
