MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Iran reaffirmed the interest in promotion of bilateral cooperation. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Viktor Rybak, who completes his diplomatic mission to Iran, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to bilateral relations and confirmed their interest in the promotion of mutually beneficial Belarusian-Iranian cooperation,” the press service said.
The Belarusian Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs for the assistance in his work on the development of Belarus-Iran relations.
Mohammad Javad Zarif praised the efforts of the Head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission regarding the expansion of relations between Belarus and Iran.
