Belarus, Iran interested in expanding cooperation in transport sector

MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Belarusian  Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Saeed Yari, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport Ministry.

The parties noted the long-term experience of cooperation and expressed interest in deepening cooperation in various areas in the transport sector. "Transport and logistics are the most important priorities in the joint work of the two countries. We have enough opportunities to realize our plans to expand cooperation," Aleksei Avramenko noted.

The parties also looked into the issues of abolishing the permit system for international road transport, launching air service between the two countries and developing transportation using the infrastructure of the international North-South transport corridor.
