Belarus’ investment structure to be discussed in Mogilev

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – A national conference on Belarus’ investment structure will be held at the free economic zone Mogilev on 1-2 April, BelTA learned from the administration of the FEZ Mogilev.

“The global economy is going through a serious recession, and for the first time in the history of mankind, the pandemic has become the main trigger of the global economic decline. Belarus’ economy is integrated into the global economy, therefore such a situation affects the overall efficiency of our country’s infrastructure. It is necessary to coordinate the efforts of all national actors in the investment process, therefore a decision was taken to create a universal dialogue platform,” the press service said.

The conference will be grouped into thematic sections that will discuss approaches to understanding the functions and competencies of each element of the investment infrastructure of Belarus. The participants of the forum will also consider possible models of inter-agency cooperation at all stages of the investment process. The final resolution of the conference will set forth collective recommendations and conceptual approaches to improving the country’s investment infrastructure.

The conference participants will be able to exchange expertise and knowledge in the field of modern communication methods and ways to raise investment into new projects. They will visit resident companies an investment sites of plot No. 4 of the Mogilev FEZ.

“Taking part in the conference will be senior officials and experts of government agencies and state-run organizations responsible for investment and business activity in Belarus. Such a broad representation will enable a constructive dialogue and conceptual decisions on the most pressing issues of the economic development of our country for the next five years,” the press service noted.
