MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed decree No.9 on taxation, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

Companies that transport oil and oil products will have to pay a tax equal to 50% of their profit. The tax is designed to provide monetary resources for dealing with possible environmental consequences of the accidents that may befall the oil pipeline system or other unforeseen situations arising from the transportation of oil and oil products across Belarus.

Apart from that, the transportation of oil and oil products in transit across Belarus via main pipelines is recognized as an item taxable by the environmental tax.
