Belarus interested in supplying quarry trucks to Venezuela

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) - Belarus is interested in supplying quarry trucks to Venezuela, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said as he met with Venezuela’s Vice President – Minister of Planning Ricardo Menendez in Minsk on 28 November, BelTA has learned.

"This is a very important factor in the mining industry. This topic is very interesting for us. We produce trucks for quarries, for mining various minerals. These vehicles have already been supplied to Venezuela. Therefore, it makes sense to set up a task force to develop a plan of cooperation in this area," Piotr Parkhomchik said.

He also suggested advancing cooperation in agriculture. "Taking into account the accumulated experience, we can be useful in ensuring the food security of your country and even neighboring states. We have ensured our food security and annually export products worth $8-9 billion. The Russian Federation is our major consumer. Our exports to China have been growing very rapidly in recent years," the deputy prime minister said.

Piotr Parkhomchik also expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of forestry, timber industry, science, education and tourism.
