MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarus and India have announced a contest of joint science and technology projects, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee (SSTC).

“The Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee and the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology have announced a contest of joint Belarusian-Indian sci-tech projects for 2017-2018. The applications are open from 21 March to 31 May 2016,” the SSTC press service said.

Eligible fields of study include such priority areas of Belarusian-Indian cooperation as bioinformatics and biotechnology; information, communication and aerospace technology; astronomy, astrophysics and space sciences; nanotechnology and nanoscience; power engineering and renewable energy sources; new materials and new energy sources; technology for production, processing and storage of agricultural goods; healthcare and pharmaceutics; ecology and environmental management; resource-saving and energy-efficient technologies for production of competitive products.

“The application package must contain a business plan, a written commitment from a state client regarding the application of research results and share participation in project financing. Completed application forms are to be submitted to the SSTC in print form (three copies) and in electronic form (on a CD),” the press service said.

The contest of joint Belarusian-Indian sci-tech projects for 2017-2018 has been organized in line with the agreement between the governments of Belarus and India on cooperation in science and technology of 14 May 1993.
