MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Horizont Holding Company is set to step up the effort to strengthen its international manufacturing ties and enter new markets, Horizont Director General Yuri Predko told BelTA.
The Belarusian company views Slovakia as a promising partner. Yuri Predko said that a number of cooperation agreements were signed during the Belarusian-Slovak Business Forum held in Bratislava in April. The documents guarantee long-term mutually beneficial partnership with major Slovakian companies. The forum participants concluded a total of ten agreements on cooperation in different fields. Six of them were a result of Horizont’s hard work towards a maximum result in developing Belarusian-Slovak business ties.
Yuri Predko believes that by attracting financing from the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic (Eximbank SR) and from several other leading Slovak companies to the tune of over $16 million, the Belarusian company laid the foundation for new projects between the enterprises that are part of Horizont Holding Company and Slovak business partners.
In 2016, the output of industrial products of Horizont Holding Company went up by 92% as against 2015. The company’s exports rose by over 80%. Horizont boosted the output of its major products in money terms: TV sets, microwave ovens, and lamp products. In 2016, the labor productivity growth rate in terms of revenues across the company’s enterprises was 167.1% as against 2015. The sales margin stood at 6.2%, with the sales margin in industry at 6%.
Considering the results of Q1 2017, Horizont’s output is expected to go up by 63% as against the same period of 2016. The exports are projected to increase by 113%.
Yuri Predko believes that all the conditions are in place for further stable operation of the company. He sees good prospects for stepping up the cooperation with foreign partners.
