MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus hopes to expand cooperation with Bangladesh, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said in a message of greetings addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“I am convinced that thanks to the efforts of the two countries the dialogue between our countries having a big cooperation potential will be expanded and diversified,” the message of greetings reads.
Vladimir Makei stressed that Bangladesh and the friendly people of this country are the reliable and trusted partners of Belarus in South Asia. “A quarter of a century is a rather short period. However, we have already done a lot to establish and develop Belarus-Bangladesh ties relying on the principles of equality, respect for interests and mutual benefits,” the minister remarked.
