MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Belarus hopes to branch out into the markets of the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with the help of Vietnam, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich told reporters on the sidelines of the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum on 27 June, BelTA informs.
“It is possible to increase the trade turnover to $0.5 billion because we reach a new level of the trade and economic relations. This pertains to the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam. It means that we promote our products on the market of Vietnam and on the markets of ASEAN countries via Vietnam,” Vladimir Ulakhovich noted. At the same time, Belarus opens the market of the Eurasian Economic Union for Vietnamese partners.
According to the BelCCI chairman, there are good prospects for cooperation in the food industry, pharmaceutics, machine building. “We are mulling over the joint production of our buses and freight vehicles,” he said. It is possible to launch the joint manufacture of dairy products.
