MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park and PAO Sberbank will cooperate in innovative education. Such an agreement was reached by Hi-Tech Park Director Vsevolod Yanchevsky and President, Chairman of the Board of PAO Sberbank German Gref as he visited the HTP on 16 July, BelTA learned from the HTP press service.
Vsevolod Yanchevsky introduced German Gref to the main lines of work in the HTP, the Belarusian legislation in high technologies and to the HTP advanced developments. German Gref hailed the HTP for the results and offered to consider bilateral cooperation
The heads of Sberbank and the HTP agreed on active cooperation as part of innovative education projects. Vsevolod Yanchevsky said that Sberbank's best practices in this field merit the closest attention.
German Gref gave a lecture in the HTP on the trends in artificial intelligence in Russia and in the world. The informal meeting with representatives of the Belarusian IT community lasted for more than two hours. It was attended by creators and developers of unique Belarusian products in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented and virtual reality. The meeting discussed issues of digital accessibility of banking services and the main trends in the mobile world. “Experts agreed that artificial intelligence will inevitably replace many traditional professions. However, the new technology creates new industries for new knowledge and tens of millions of new jobs worldwide,” the HTP said.
