MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Belarus has cleared 22.1% of the area planted to cereals and leguminous crops, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
As of 31 July, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) were harvested from 437,600 hectares, which is 22.1% of the target area. Some 1.554 million tonnes of grain was produced, with the average yield at 35.5 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was removed from 259,700 hectares (78% of the target area), with 676,100 tonnes produced and the average yield at 26 centners per hectare.
Flax was pulled from 23,600 hectares, which is 54.1% of the area planted to this crop. Straw was cut from 256,800 hectares after cereals and leguminous crops were harvested.
