MINSK, 7 August (BelTA) - More than 6.5 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 7 August, over 6.5 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes 5.465 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops and 1.053 tonnes of winter rapeseed.
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 1.763 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Brest Oblast 1.468 million tonnes, Grodno Oblast 1.459 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast 694,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast 636,000 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast 497,000 tonnes.
As to other crops, 85.8% of spring barley, 82.3% of winter rye, 78.1% of wheat, 75.2% of oats, 72.6% of triticale, 58.1% of legumes were harvested.
Harvesting of winter barley and winter rapeseed has been completed.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 38,500 hectares, which is 86.1% of the area planted to this crop.
