MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) - Over 7.5 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 19 August, 7.596 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes more than 6.524 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops (95.3% of the area under these crops, with yields at 32.7 centners per hectare) and 1.072 million tonnes of rapeseed (92.1% of the area, with yields at 29.1 centners per hectare).
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 2.051 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Grodno Oblast – 1.735 million tonnes, Brest Oblast – 1.557 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast – 871,300 tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 731,400 tonnes and Vitebsk Oblast – 650,000 tonnes.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 44,200 hectares, which is 99% of the area under this crop.
