MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) - In January-March 2024 Belarus’ foreign trade in goods and services rose by 1.1% year-on-year to total $23.374 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In January-March 2024 Belarus had a deficit of the foreign trade in merchandise and services of $0.1 billion. The export made up $11.6 billion, with import at $11.7 billion.
Belarus’ merchandise exports increased from $9.5 billion to $9.6 billion, imports - from $10.1 billion to $10.4 billion. The trade deficit was $0.8 billion. The deficit of Belarus’ foreign trade in merchandise was offset by a surplus of foreign trade in services as large as $0.7 billion in January 2024. Belarus exported $2.05 billion and imported $1.35 billion worth of services in January-March 2024.
