MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - Belarus’ food industry presented its export capabilities in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Beijing.
The presentation took place during a visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy and Belarus Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Smilgin to Zhejiang Province. During a meeting with Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province Peng Jiaxue the partoes discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields, in particular, trade and regional cooperation between Minsk Oblast and the Chinese province.
An agreement was reached to send a delegation of the Commerce Department of Zhejiang Province to Belarus for the Belt and Road international forum in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 2 July.
The Belarusian delegation also held a bilateral meeting with Sheng Qiuping, Director General of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province. The parties welcomed the dynamics of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Zhejiang Province in investment, trade and economy.
The meeting was followed by a roundtable with representatives of the largest importers of food products of Zhejiang Province to discuss the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation.
