PUKHOVICHI DISTRICT, 4 November (BelTA) - Belarus’ food export is estimated to amount to $8 billion in 2022, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a ceremony to launch the production of animal feed and amino acids at the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC) in Pukhovichi District, BelTA has learned.

"This year Belarus’ food export are estimated to total $8 billion in 2022. When I tell the presidents of the states that sell oil and natural gas that we will earn $8 billion on food exports, they do not believe it. This is a difficult time, yet it is also a time of opportunity. Our farmers and processing companies took advantage of this. Just like you," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

According to the head of state, BNBC products are very much in demand in foreign markets. "Remember, I have often said that sanctions and crises are a difficult time for the economy, but they also create opportunity. You have just harnessed the opportunity at a time of crisis," the president emphasized.
