Belarus eying Pakistan-China Economic Corridor projects

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Belarus would like to participate in the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor projects, Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with the Pakistani parliamentary delegation led by Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani in Minsk on 2 February, BelTA has learned.

“We could provide engineering services, perform design work. We stand ready to offer a wide range of Belarusian machinery. The Pakistan-China Economic Corridor is a global project, and we are interested,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

Mian Raza Rabbani believes that the Belarusian companies have large potential for participation in the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor projects. “This multi-million dollar project is multi-pronged. Well-developed infrastructure is needed for its implementation. Belarus’ participation would be helpful considering its experience in the production of equipment, including haul trucks. We look forward to the participation of Belarusian companies,” he assured.
