MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $9.8 billion in Q1 2018, up 25.7% versus the same period of 2017, BelTA learned from the latest statistics report released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $19.2 billion, up 25.5% from January-March 2017. Exports amounted to $9.8 billion (up 25.7%); imports grew by 25.4% to $9.4 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $315.2 million.
Belarus' trade in goods surged by 26.3% to $16.1 billion. Exports of goods went up by 26.9% to $7.8 billion, with imports up 25.7% to $8.3 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $527.5 million.
In January-March 2018 Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $3 billion (up 21.9% as against the same period in 2017). Exports of services stood at $1.9 billion (up 21.4%), with imports at $1.1 billion (up by 22.8%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $842.7 million.
