Belarus' exports of goods, services up 20.1% in January-October 2017

MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – In January-October 2017, Belarus' exports of goods and services rose by 20.1% from January-October 2016 to $29.537 billion, BelTA learned from the latest statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $58.489 billion, up by 19.6% from January-June 2016. Exports amounted to $29.537 billion, up by 20.1%; imports grew by 19.2% to $28.952 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $584.7 million.

Belarus' trade in goods surged by 21.9% to $48.382 billion. Exports of goods went up by 22.4% to $23.24 billion, with imports up by 21.5% to $25.142 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $1.901 billion.

In January-October 2017, Belarus' foreign trade in services reached $10.107 billion (109.8% as against the same period a year prior). Exports of services stood at $6.296 billion (112.2%), with imports at $3.81 billion (105.9%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $2.486 billion.
