Belarus' export up by 32% to $39.5bn in January-October

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) - In January-October 2021 Belarus' export of merchandise and services rose by 32% year-on-year up to $39.472 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

In January-October 2021 Belarus' foreign trade totaled $75.722 billion, up by 30.6% year-on-year. Import amounted to $36.25 billion (up by 29.1%). Surplus of foreign trade in goods and services equaled $3.222 billion, up from $1.83 billion in January-October 2020.

Belarus' merchandise trade expanded by 33.5% to reach $62.749 billion. Merchandise export went up by 36.3% to $31.127 billion, with merchandise import up by 30.8% to $31.622 billion. Merchandise trade deficit totaled $495 million. In January-October 2020 Belarus also had a deficit of $1.334 billion.

In January-October 2021 foreign trade in services reached $12.972 billion, up by 18.4% year-on-year. Export of services amounted to $8.345 billion (up by 18.2%), with import standing at $4.627 billion (up by 18.7%). Surplus of foreign trade in services equaled $3.717 billion, up from $3.165 billion in January-October 2020.
