MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Belarus will export small volumes of oil products via Russian seaports if it does not incur additional expenses, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko told the media on 20 December, BelTA informs.
“We have agreed to export small volumes of oil products providing the terms in the Russian ports are similar to those offered in the ports of other countries. We cannot afford to be philanthropists or sponsors,” Vladimir Semashko underlined.
In his words, the transit of oil products via Russian seaports means certain expenses for Belarus. “We have showed and proven this to our colleagues. They have understood us. This is why we will supply small pilot batches provided that Belarus does not lose anything,” the deputy prime minister clarified.
Vladimir Semashko ruled out the redirection of massive volumes of oil products from Baltic seaports to Russian ones.
