MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) - In January-June 2024, Belarus earned $168 million in the export of construction services, which is 1.7 times more than in the same period of 2023. The information was reported at the meeting of the board of the Architecture and Construction Ministry held on 14 August to review the performance of the country’s construction industry in H1 2024, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.
In January-June 2024 the export of construction, engineering and architectural services reached $366.5 million, up 8.1% year on year, well above the H1 growth target of 3.5%.
The volume of provided construction services was up thanks to the increase in the works performed outside the country - 7.3%. The share of such exports in the total volume amounted to about 84%.
In the reporting period, the industry ran surplus of $168 million in construction services and $25.6 million in architectural and engineering services (the export of these services went up by 15.9%).
