MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) - Belarus is exploring the technical specifications of renewable energy facilities built in China, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.
"Belarus’ First Deputy Energy Minister Leonid Shenets visited major industrial enterprises-manufacturers of wind energy equipment and solar cells, wind farms, solar collectors, and a site for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant," said the press service.
Leonid Shenets participated in the 6th International New Energy Industry Exposition 2015 and attended the roundtable forum "One Belt, One Road". The event of the ministerial level was attended by representatives of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Iran, Fiji, the Sudan, Nigeria, the Czech Republic, Korea, Cuba, Panama, and Saudi Arabia, and the Secretary General of New Energy Department of the European Commission.
"Belarus’ representative made a report on the contemporary trends in the development of renewable energy, legislative aspects and the measures taken in Belarus to stimulate the construction of renewable energy plants. The Belarusian delegation also expressed interest in attracting Chinese investment and technology for the upgrade of the country’s energy system,” press service informed.
