MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim expects to receive oil from Azerbaijan and Norway in April, BelTA learned from Aleksandr Tishchenko, Press Secretary of the concern.

“A tanker with 85,000 tonnes of Azerbaijani oil on board is to arrive at the Port of Yuzhny on 11 April. By mid-April a tanker with Norwegian oil (85,000 tonnes) will arrive in Klaipeda,” Aleksandr Tishchenko said.

BelTA reported earlier that in March SOCAR sent three tankers with about 250,000 tonnes of oil for Belarus. Oil was delivered to the Port of Odessa and then pumped by pipeline to Mozyr Oil Refinery. Belneftekhim Chairman Andrei Rybakov was quoted as saying that SOCAR may deliver up to 1 million tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2020.

In January this year Belarus purchased the first batch of Norwegian oil for Naftan Refinery.

Negotiations are underway to sign contracts on oil deliveries from Russia for April.
