NEW YORK, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Egypt will develop a roadmap to guide trade and economic cooperation. The relevant agreement was reached during the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Egypt President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in New York on 28 September, BelTA has learned.
The roadmap will be worked out during the session of the intergovernmental commission that will take place in Cairo by the end of the year.
The two leaders discussed the idea of implementing multilateral economic projects involving Belarus, Egypt and third countries.
It was the first meeting of the two heads of state. The presidents agreed to exchange top-level visits between Belarus and Egypt.
The heads of state also confirmed the stability and steadiness of Belarus-Egypt relations, the solid traditions of mutual understanding and support, including within the framework of multilateral international organizations.
