MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Ecuadorian company Yachay EP signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
"According to the document, the two parties intend to establish the scientific, industrial, technology and innovation cooperation in a number of areas, including energy, innovation, communication and space technology, new materials, biotechnology, nanotechnology and nanoindustry. In addition, the parties discussed the joint work in the field of medicine, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, technologies in chemistry and petrochemistry, agriculture and construction, rational use and deep processing of natural resources,” the press service said.
Also, the parties plan to carry out joint research and innovation projects, organize conferences and other events.
The memorandum is valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for successive five-year periods unless it is terminated by the parties. The document was signed by Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Larrea Davila.
