MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – The economy reform in the country should be focused on manufacturing high-quality goods and selling them at a good price, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the operational meeting of the command staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces on 30 October, BelTA has learned.
“The government pays special attention to this issue and is implementing the President’s plan of economic development and improvement. But I want to reiterate that we are in a difficult situation; therefore, real work in the economy cannot be substituted by certain reforms, including radical ones, which are absolutely inadmissible, especially in the crisis period,” the head of state believes.
In his words, it is needed to understand that all reforms should be focused on manufacturing high-quality goods and selling them at a good price. “This is a priority for the government, the economic sector and the military-industrial complex. It does not matter what we will produce and sell. It is important to sell at a good price. This is the essence of the reform,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
