MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – The Embassy of Belarus in France hosted a presentation of Belarus’ trade, economic and investment cooperation potential in Marseille, BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission.

The presentation was attended by nearly 40 businessmen of the French region. Attending the forum were also representatives of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the MEDEF Employers' Association and the regional small and medium-sized business promotion council.

Marseille Vice Mayor Didier Parakian emphasized the interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation with Belarus and stressed that a number of companies from the region were successfully developing cooperation with Belarusian partners.

Belarus’ Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko apprised those present at the event of the opportunities for trade and economic cooperation and invited the businessmen of the region to take part in the 1^st Belarusian-French Interregional Business Forum which is due in Minsk on 30 November-1 December. An agreement was reached that a number of French companies would take part in the forthcoming business forum in the Belarusian capital.

The presentation was co-organized with Marseille City Hall and the Provence-Russia-CIS Business Club.
