MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Over 100 representatives of business and financial sectors, industrial and consulting companies of Belarus and Germany took part in the economic forum entitled Belarus as a Bridge between the EU and the EAEU – Cooperation Potential and Foreign Trade Instruments on 6 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Germany.
The event was held in the German business and financial center Frankfurt am Main. Among the speakers were Belarus’ Ambassador to Germany Denis Sidorenko and a representative of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.
The discussions were mainly focused on Belarus’ role as a link between East and West and its potential for industrial cooperation, instruments of financing and insurance in the Belarusian-German trade, new technologies in the banking sector.
The forum served as an opportunity to establish new business contacts, discuss matters related to the framework conditions of doing business and investing in Belarus.
The event was organized by one of Germany’s biggest banks Commerzbank and the Representation of the German Economy in Belarus in cooperation with the Belarusian embassy in Berlin and the German embassy in Minsk.
