LONDON, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarus intends to float eurobonds worth over $1 billion in 2020, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas on 22 November.
Sergei Rumas said: “As for 2020, we have plans for floating eurobonds. We are likely to do it in London. It is difficult to talk about a specific figure now but the sum will definitely be larger than $1 billion.”
In his words, the government believes Q1 2020 to be the most opportune time for entering the borrowing market.
“Routine work is in progress now. We are interacting with banks, choosing the organizers of the floatation,” he added. Sergei Rumas specified Belarus has no intention to enter the borrowing market by the end of 2019. There is no need for that.
