Belarus eager to expand manufacturing cooperation with Vietnam

MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – Belarus is intent on expanding manufacturing cooperation with Vietnam, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Korchik. The official took part in a seminar for heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus on 10 July.

The establishment of the enterprise to assemble MAZ trucks in Vietnam was mentioned as one of the largest Belarusian-Vietnamese projects. Another project is in the pipeline to start assembling MAZ buses in Vietnam.

Dmitry Korchik stressed that thanks to vigorous efforts of the embassies Belarusian industrial products have seriously advanced into the markets of Asia and Africa as well as Cuba. “Today’s meeting with ambassadors will give a new impulse to the expansion and diversification of export. The manufacturing sector is one of the flagships of the country’s export potential. Such meetings bring something new. We discuss the problems we face today and resolve them down the road if not right now,” said the Belarusian deputy industry minister.
