MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik and Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with top executives of the Russian company Transmashholding in Moscow to discuss the realization of joint projects with Belarusian industrial enterprises and the expansion of manufacturing cooperation, the Belarusian government’s press service told BelTA.

The parties discussed the state of affairs regarding the realization of a joint project by the Belarusian automaker BelAZ and the Russian company Kolomensky Zavod. An agreement was reached to organize additional field tests and testbed trials of an engine made by the Russian company in Belarus’ territory with assistance of specialists of BelAZ, Minsk Motor Plant, and Kolomensky Zavod. As a result of the tests the parties will make adjustments to a previously purchased batch of engines and will buy another batch as part of the signed contract.

The parties also agreed to ensure uninterrupted monthly deliveries of cast metal products of Russian make to Belarusian wagon-building enterprises.

The parties also discussed mutual manufacturing cooperation options with regard to localizing the production of complicated components of high-speed reduction gearboxes for electric transport in the territory of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
