MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers has authorized the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus to lend up to $25 million to the Minsk National Airport for the sake of reconstructing the Orsha airfield. The relevant resolution of the Council of Ministers has been published on the national legal information website law.by, BelTA has learned.
The state enterprise Minsk National Airport will be able to borrow up to $25 million to reconstruct the Orsha airfield. The project will involve a major overhaul of the existing runway, the reconstruction of taxi ways, and the construction of auxiliary and support facilities.
Apart from that, the limit of lending for the sake of building the second runway in the Minsk National Airport has been increased from $52.17 million and €10.9 million to $68 million and €10.9 million.
The sums of these loans, which have not been spent this year, will roll over to the next year.
The loans come with an interest rate of 7.05% per annum.
