MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ dairy exports to China are estimated to reach $7 million worth in 2016, Belarus Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats said in an interview with the ONT TV channel on 15 December, BelTA has learned.
This year 34 Belarusian enterprises have received the certificates for the right to supply dairy products to China. “Dairy sales will reach $7 million this year,” Leonid Zayats said.
Belarus is considering increasing its food exports to China. “Four meat-packing plants have been certified. Hopefully, we will be awarded the right to supply beef to the Chinese market before the end of the year. Next in line are our poultry farms. We hope to get them certified in the first quarter of 2017,” the minister said.
