MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarus and the Czech Republic are considering ways to step up cooperation in nuclear energy and oil processing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian company Belenergo.
Prague is hosting a meeting of the working group on energy cooperation of the joint commission for cooperation in economy, industry, science and technology between Belarus and Czechia. “The parties will discuss the status of implementation of the previously signed agreements and ways to strengthen ties in nuclear energy, oil transport and processing, gas and peat industry, power engineering, energy efficiency, and production of energy from renewable sources,” the company’s representatives said.
The Belarusian delegation to the meeting is led by Beltopgaz Director General Leonid Rudinsky. The Czech part of the working group is headed by Jan Zaplatilek, Director of the Gas and Liquid Fuels Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Government officials, representatives of Belarusian and Czech companies and enterprises also take part in the meeting.
