Belarus, Colombia discuss setting up joint commission on economic cooperation

MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Ecuador and concurrently to the Republic of Colombia Nikolai Ovsyanko presented the copy of his credentials to Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs Claudia Blum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Belarusian diplomat noted Belarus' interest in developing the entire spectrum of relations with Colombia and emphasized the need for the prompt signing of a bilateral agreement to waive visas for short-term trips of citizens,” the pres service informed.

The Belarusian Ambassador also spoke in favor of setting up a joint commission on trade and economic cooperation to facilitate contacts between the business communities of Belarus and Colombia.
